JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages the implementation and operation of contractor support to the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) for training programs, practices, and procedures for training personnel on ship systems including instrution and technical training in support of Aegis Combat system, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Tactical Data Links, and other systems that can be used in the ships Combat Information Center (CIC). Responsible for staff development, supervision, and management of contractor staff globally. Supports the activities across 22 sites, CONUS and OCONUS, as well as aboard Naval ships. Includes managing training programs with an estimated 350+ instructors providing an estimated 700+ courses. Instruction includes delivery of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training, as well as cCurriculum development and maintenance of courses. Includes multiple instructional delivery methods to include: classroom taught, computer based, and distributed training. Includes managing training and curriculum development for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers as well. CSCS program designs and administers training programs to train all levels of personnel. The PM CSCS contract is responsible for reporting and briefing contract status, milestones, and schedules periodially with the CSCS government PM, COR, and KO as well as to SAIC corporate. PM is responsible for the Cost, Schedule, and quality of deliverables and services provided by SAIC as well as all subcontractors in the execution of this contract.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more of related experience.
1. Ten (10) years of Surface Warfare Operational Experience
2. Seven (7) years of contract Management with Surface Warfare Training Systems
Preferred - Program Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA Level III Certification
