JOB DESCRIPTION: Participates in systems engineering activities which include one or more of the following: Concept of Operations Formulation, Requirements Definition, Analysis and Engineering, System Architecting, System Analysis and Design, Interface and Data Architectures, Validation and Verification, System Integration, System & Op. Performance Analysis, Lifecycle Cost Analysis & Estimation, Decision Analysis and Physical Configuration Analysis (PCA). Captures and analyzes training metrics and develops reports. Supports/runs Engineering Review boards (ERB). Analyzes complex system engineering issues and exercises controls and coordination, and provide summaries and recommendations. Develop test plans and procedures and conduct test events, including operational/ developmental baseline testing, Joint, foreign, and coalition coordination and participation. Participates in C4I engineering and installation projects, including planning, management and development of engineering documents for CSCS Training requirements. Runs Test Planning Working Groups to ensure proper combat system configurations, Distributed Interactive Simulation configuration, and external communications configurations are in place for the developmental/certification events. Ensures all test material; Test Plans, Test Procedures, Engineering Configuration Guide, and Data Management and Analysis Plan were produced and technically accurate. Oversee scheduling labs, coordinating test schedules with multiple agencies. Support planning and scripting of scenarios. Perform/support JDTA, FEA, BCA, and Gap analysis in support of curriculum development and maintenance). Assists in the development of curriculum materials and training delivery. Develop training plans, write OPLANS.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
1. Eight (8) years Combat Systems experience including: design, operations, engineering development, systems integration, lifetime support maintenance, or training development with various Surface Combat Systems
2. Has specific knowledge/SME of CSCS training systems ( LCS, AEGIS, Tomahawk - includes requirements analysis, installation, troubleshooting, Risk Analysis (RA), Configuration Management (CM), Integrated Logistic Support (ILS), Quality Assurance (QA), and Test and Evaluation (T&E) ).
