Description
Software Engineer Senior to work in Reston, VA: Estimate
total future costs for repair and maintenance of buildings using eSmart. Provide software application development
update and to collaborate with colleagues and experts on the development of
application. Design and develop business application software components as
assigned through JIRA or Service Now. Remotely control GSA servers in the
Integration (INT) and Test (TST) environments prior to any release deployment
or configuration changes. Test developed software in a variety of circumstances
to test its performance and to support application release activities. Review
and analyze security audit findings in order to determine possible loopholes
and to assure that the GSA systems always meet stringent security requirements
as well as identifying the appropriate issues, design, develop, implement and
test corrections across non-production environments. Review GSA Service Now
ticket queue for newly opened tickets and perform triage to determine the nature
of the problem, how it should be resolved and a preliminary level of effort.
Review assigned GSA Service Now tickets and resolve any outstanding application
design, code or environment issues. Test released software on GSA systems to
replicate reported issues, determine cause and resolution. Generate
documentation to support the GSA PB-ITS approved release process. Develop,
troubleshoot and implement databases for assigned projects. Assist with
compliance issues and resolutions and supporting other team members in design,
development and diagnostic activities.
Requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent based
on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as
twenty-four (24) months in job or job related experience to include duties listed
