We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Technical Writer to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC.
Provide the technical expertise to develop technical documents, infographics, web content and desktop publishing and editing of all project artifacts and deliverables, including ad-hoc Reports, Specifications, User Manuals and Help Files, Knowledge Based Articles (KBAs) for Service Desk resolution, Work Instructions, training aides, and/or diagrams. The Core IT Contractor shall contribute to the development of clear, succinct, understandable, and user-friendly documentation that can be quickly comprehended at any level from executive stakeholders to end-users.
Utilize documented functional and technical requirements to develop user guides, related documents, and training materials, gathering inputs and providing technical documentation across all Task Areas of this Call Order.

Develop standardized communication “tool kits” tailored to the target audiences. These scripts, templates and writing aids, once approved by FERC, will be used by staff in the performance of their duties and in training sessions. Works with engineers and subject matter experts on development of SLA and SOP documents. Creates documents for publication both within the organization and externally using input provided by team members, stakeholders, research sources, and other content providers. Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. Integrates graphics, text, and other media to create presentations and publications. Coordinates the production. Proofreads and edits correspondence, documents, memoranda, presentations, and other publication materials to ensure they conform to Agency standards for spelling, grammar, and style. Assists content providers in identifying the appropriate medium and format for presentations and publications. Ensures content is of high quality and conforms to standards. Writes and updates material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance. Refines work of writers, and heads and coordinates activities of writers engaged in preparing technical, scientific, medical, or other material for publication in conjunction with or independent from manufacturing, research, and related activities. Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years experience or equivalent
