SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work as a member of a dynamic, energized team on a leading edge technology program with an exciting mission critical to national security objectives. This is an exciting position that requires close interaction with top department leadership across many Government components and industry partners to achieve mission goals and outcomes.

 

The Senior Systems Engineer will work in the front office to stand-up a new Director’s Action Group to help our customers solve complex problems and integrate activities across a large and diverse portfolio of programs. You will manage office-level communications, risk, policy compliance, workflow, budgets, reporting; and increase workforce productivity through process improvement. A successful candidate will thrive work in a high-paced environment, deliver quality products, and effectively manage dynamic priorities. You will apply your technical, programmatic, and operational skills to help solve complex issues. You will gather and compile information and develop high quality products for office leadership. You will interact with senior Government officials across the federal government and industry to gather, supply, and coordinate information required.   

Job Duties

  • Organize and facilitate communications on a wide array of subjects including technical, programmatic, and operations in support of internal and external tasks, actions, program reviews, congressional inquiries, invitations, and various types of speaking engagements.
  • Gather information, articulate, analyze, and solve problems; visualize and present information; and provide decision support to achieve mission outcomes.
  • Create/manage communications for the enterprise, and individuals including briefings, action items, meeting agendas.
  • Draft senior-level executive correspondence include speaker’s notes, memos, etc.
  • Develop and implement office-wide frameworks, practices, and procedures to support leadership objectives.
  • Coordinate action responses with appropriate leadership internally and externally to develop high quality products in the timelines required.
  • Support any office security requirements including document management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 15 years relevant experience is required or a Masters and 12 years of related experience working in a government contracting or onsite with a government customer in an administrative assistant capacity.
  • Must have strong leadership, problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and a proven ability to work with Senior Executives efficiently and effectively (to include experience interfacing/communicating with Senior Executive leadership in both government and industry).
  • Must have experience writing white papers, briefings, correspondence, and reports.
  • Must have exceptional organizational and teambuilding skills, good interpersonal skills.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.
