SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to a Systems Engineering and Integration effort in the Aurora, CO area. The successful candidate should have experience in the integration of new enhancements to the operational baseline, a good understanding of site operational needs and familiarity with contract administration to provide assistance to the government in the execution of these functions. The successful candidate will be expected to assess issues and develop recommendations for resolution to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
Provide program technical and contract oversight support to a Systems Engineering and Integration entity
Work with government Contracting Officer’s Technical Representatives (COTR) and Contracting Officer (CO) to provide technical and programmatic direction on contracts in support of a US Government customer
Identify and recommend courses of actions to improve support and operations across contracts
Develop and deliver plans, assessments, reports, and briefings to the Government in support of their forums and industry visits for further analysis of emerging technologies
Assess project issues and develop proposed resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
Provide method for monitoring project progress and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and stakeholders
Plan and evaluate budget recommendations for contract execution to include researching, drafting and supporting Unfunded Requirements and Operational Needs Statements as required.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and seek to resolve systems engineering gaps, especially as it concerns end-to-end product compatibility.
Maintain close communications with the program contracting officer and customer engineering organizations providing recommendations on risk, issues and opportunities
Perform subject matter expertise advisory services to the US Government regarding strategy, operations, and management of national programs.
Identify and evaluate alternative contract implementation strategies
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education
Demonstrated organizational skills; capable of initiating activities, developing execution plans, and executing schedule
Demonstrated ability to react in a fast-paced environment to a variety of tasks; sometimes out of primary domain of responsibility
Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a dynamic team
Demonstrated experience in providing technical and programmatic support to a COTR and CO.
