SAIC is hiring an Enterprise System Integrator/Technologist to join our team at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio !

 

In support of the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) Integrated Technical Services (HITS) task order contract, Team SAIC provides program management and technical support necessary to advance the services, capabilities, infrastructure, and technologies in the HPCMP, Department of Defense (DoD) Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRC) supercomputing centers. Team SAIC is looking for an Enterprise System Integrator/Technologist to join our Technology Evaluation Team and work along the side our leading HPC staff and researchers working to solve DoD’s most critical mission challenges.


 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The successful candidate will be a member of the Technology Evaluation Team focused on the research, architecture, design, and implementation of leading-edge technology solutions for our customer. As a member of the team, you will help lead customer engagement in the development of system requirements, documentation to include whitepaper assessments, and may also participate as a team member in support of larger program-wide technology activities.


Additional duties include:


  • Responsibility for high-level technology evaluation and systems engineering which will include elicitation and analysis of system requirements, analysis and application of existing and future computing technologies, and architecture development.

  • Assisting site leadership, project managers, integrators and system architects in developing program and acquisition documentation and evaluating operational and technical alternatives.

  • Advising on selection of technological purchases with regards to processing, data storage, data access, applications development, and systems

  • Soliciting, collecting, and evaluating vendor proposals

  • Providing and exercising comparative selection criteria for new technology selection

  • Developing and implementing integration plans for new technology components

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma and  eighteen (18) years or more related experience; OR Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; OR Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; OR PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
  • Must have a current/active secret clearance
  • Prior experience configuring new technology in a Cross Domain (CD) environment
  • Familiarity with CD infrastructure and operational environment
  • Understanding of  Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards and their relationship to HPC architectures and systems and other security support systems
  • Understanding of current and future computing hardware (CPUs, GPUs, accelerators)
  • Understanding of HPC supporting hardware (networking, low-latency interconnects, storage, parallel file systems, and HSM systems
  • Familiarity with various Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HPC supporting software (cluster management tools, compilers, scheduling tools)
  • Ability to identify systems and/or applications that will improve DSRC functions and processes
  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, management personnel, and team members, including documentation and writing skills
  • Ability to attend industry conferences and vendor briefings, advise senior technical staff on the feasibility and applicability of new technologies, and apply those technologies to the HPCMP Centers organization 


DESIRED EXPERIENCE:


  • Strong customer focus and proven ability to manage and help shape customer behavior and decisions

  • Strong communication skills to interact with customers, management personnel, and team members, including documentation and writing skills

  • Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work in a dynamic work environment, and persistence to follow-through on tasks in the face of obstacles

  • Ability to work as part of a multi-faceted team

  • 5-7 years of experience in supporting networking, storage, and system design

  • Familiarity with DoD system security accreditation processes

  • DoD 8570 certification, Security+ desired but not required
