SAIC is seeking candidates for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), a Combat Support Agency, who engineers and provides command and control capabilities and enterprise infrastructure, to continuously operate and assure a global net-centric enterprise which directly supports joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of operations.
The SAIC team will help provide software development support and expertise for the unclassified and classified portals DISA Store Front (DSF) in NIPRNet and SIPRNet hosted environments. This includes providing support and expertise for: DISA Service Catalog, order entry and management capabilities for DISA services, process workflow automation, SDE automation, System Integrations, transactions occurring between systems, notifications, and reporting capabilities. DSF employs an Agile development methodology and will use JIRA to support their efforts.
The candidate for this position provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors through imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions, consistent with organization objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Technical contributor with expertise in Information Technology cradle to grave processes related to applications and infrastructure
Responsible for documenting existing operations and practices; analyzing those operations and practices against documented best practices and developing a plan of actions and milestones to evolve to the best practices
Acts as a member of a team responsible for providing technical guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems
Provide benchmark system needs and provide recommendations for adoption or adaptation to meet contractual requirements
Provide life-cycle documentation of the software build process including, but not limited to, functional and technical specifications, systems interface documents, control documents, and all other system documentation specified in the Software Lifecycle Management and Review Objectives (SLMRO) document
A listing and description of any formulas, algorithms, calculations, stored procedures, and business rules that are used to process or transform DISA Storefront data
Identify and document detailed functional requirements and/or use cases that describe DISA Storefront operations
Identify and document an explanation of the software baseline including a listing of all code modules, their purpose, and the general organization of the code
Develop a mapping of business processes to DISA Storefront functions
Participate in fit/gap analysis sessions to better understand client’s application business processes

Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training or work experience
4+ years’ experience operating as part of an Agile and DevSecOps environment
4+ years of business and system analysis, preferably with Federal Systems
Demonstrated experience and abilities establishing knowledge-based systems and using knowledge sharing methods to develop workflows and ensure the transition of technical requirements between all parties (end users and development team) participating in development efforts
Demonstrated experience providing full lifecycle documentation for software development projects
Experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce or commensurate CRM and service management platforms.
Has experience implementing Agile methodology in the development of software applications
Solid experience and knowledge of version and project management software (i.e. Team Foundation Server, SVN, etc.)
Effective Customer Service and management skills/capabilities; including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally (internally) and/or externally
