Job Description


Join SAIC's team as a Network Specialist in Honolulu, Hawaii.  This is in support of the US Army’s JPMRC TADSS program.

This position is contingent upon award of contract.

This opportunity is Part Time on Call. Work will be performed in 2-3 30 day exercises per year.

Job Summary: Acts as advisor on developments of new technologies in decision support and course of action analysis tools, integrated simulations training devices, and C4ISR digital systems. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research and identifies developments in digital Mission Command.  Briefs senior leadership on the use of Mission Command and updates in Mission Command technology. 
  • Conducts continuing review of computer technological developments and prepare long range forecasts of the pertinence of developments to JPMRC applications. 
  • Assists the JPMRC Signal Officer in maintaining the JPMRC inventory of hardware and software. 
  • Develops, maintains, and enforces standard methods and procedures for system acquisition development, distribution, training, installation, testing, maintenance, trouble reporting, and accountability.
  • Using knowledge of systems analysis, current system software and hardware, automation procurement procedures, and higher  headquarters procedures, supports the JPMRC automation systems that provide maneuver training  and analysis support to training units. Interfaces between the Operations Group and the Schofield  Barracks Service Center, Army Civilians, contractors and the Brigade. 
  • Provides technical advice to the Commander, Operations Group, O/C Team Chiefs, ITACSS Training Analysis and Feedback specialists, and other professional staff within the JPMRC, and regularly attends meetings as the automation SME.  


  • Active Secret security clearance and US Citizenship
  • Minimum 5 (five) years knowledge of IT concepts, principles, methods, and practices; IT security principles and methods; Internet technologies to analyze the potential of systems, networks, and data; new and emerging information technologies and/or industry trends; acquisition management policies and procedures; analytical methods and practices; and project management principles and methods.
  • Minimum 3 (three) years’ experience in Army mission command systems with demonstrated maintenance-level experience in Army Mission Command Networks and Systems (MCNS) is required.
  • BA/BS degree in a related field
