SAIC’s National Security Group (NSG) is seeking an R&D Systems Engineer to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. The position will be located in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.


LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. 

 

The candidate will provide SETA support for the acquisition of intelligence community (IC) national intelligence ground R&D systems (hardware and software), cooperatively with government, FFRDC, and other SETA contractors. In this role you will actively support system level architecture analysis and evaluation, and specific system acquisition processes.

 
Key functions include:
  • Provide day-to-day collaboration with development contractors, program office personnel, and Government POCs on systems architecture analysis in the R&D domain
  • Provide oversight, monitoring development and integration activities, ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives
  • Analyze a wide variety of mission thread projects for impact on the system architecture
  • Advise Senior and Mid-Level managers on acquisition decisions regarding R&D  projects 
  • Establish and maintain the SV-1 Systems Interface Description, linking together the operational and systems architecture models

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.Note: experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment with excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Experience as a systems engineer and/or solutions architect
  • Experience with SV-1 Systems Interface Description documentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced STEM degree
  • Experience with IC and/or DoD space architectures
  • Experience in engineering and/or acquisition of Intelligence Community (IC) and/or DoD spacecraft systems
  • Knowledge of IC and/or DoD acquisition roles, processes, and/or program management
