Job Description


he National Security Customer Group of SAIC is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst, Principal, to support the Air Force’s Platform One.  Platform One is building an infrastructure-agnostic platform, to support the Department of Defense’s (DoD) vast infrastructure options, including — Government clouds, on premise, disconnected, and classified environments.  This infrastructure will employ a DevSecOps platform (Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) Kubernetes compliant) using accredited and secured hardened containers built from the DoD Centralized Artifacts Repository (DCAR), in order to support the DoD’s ability to field operational capabilities faster. This process will be compliant with the published DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design and meet all regulatory testing and cybersecurity requirements while encouraging DoD-wide reciprocity and expertise.  The candidate may work anywhere in the United States, but proximity to Air Force customers in the National Capital Region would be beneficial.  


The candidate for this position will directly support building the DevSecOps platform capabilities for the government software systems.


  •     Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; other work experience and certifications considered in lieu of degree requirements
  •           Experience with a Continuous Authority to Operate (C-ATO)  
  •      Demonstrated knowledge in Zero Trust architectures, NIST 800-53/-190, Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF), and working with product developers towards response and compliant solutions
  •          Experience in development of cybersecurity architecture with ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements/principles, including container security.
  •        Understanding of live monitoring of cyber environment for potential attacks, vulnerabilities and log analysis
  •           Strong written and documentation skills
  •           Understanding of physical security threats and countermeasures
  •      Experience with running penetration testing, red team/blue team security games and analysis
  •          Experience in deploying Kubernetes Securely,  Securing Clusters and best practices
  •            Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance


Desired Skills:

·        Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks

·        CISSP or other equivalent IAT III certification

·        Advanced CNCF/Kubernetes certification, Itsio/Service Mesh

·        DevOps or DevSecOps training or certification
