SAIC, a federal contractor seeks a full time Project Manager in support of the United States Army Reserve Command to work at Fort Bragg, NC. 

 


JOB DESCRIPTION: 

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

  • The position provides a business casual work environment and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of projects

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

  • Define project tasks and resource requirements

  • Develop full scale project plans

  • Assemble and coordinate project staff

  • Manage project budget

  • Manage project resource allocation

  • Plan and schedule project timelines

  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools

  • Provide direction and support to project team

  • Quality assurance

  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of projects to stakeholders

  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions

  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs

  • Project evaluations and assessment of results

  • May perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience;
  • Minimum of 6+ year’s multi-project experience
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Proven experience in people management
  • Proven experience in strategic planning
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience in change management
  • Proficient in project management software

 

CLEARANCE: 

  • US Citizenship is required and the candidate must possess a Department of Defense Secret security clearance in order to gain access to the client site and computer systems.


CERTIFICATION:

  • A PMP Certification is required.
  • ITIL Certification (within 60 to 90 days of hire)

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Business casual office working conditions
  • Required to sit for long periods using a personal computer

 

TRAVEL:

  • Minimal travel is required
