We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Operations Manager to join our team in Cambridge, MA. to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC.


Duties: 

  • Manages and supervises Voice, Data, Video teams.  Provides general voice and data network administration and provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale networks. 
  • Serves as focal point for all concerns and establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Ensures a timely process through which problems are controlled, recognized, researched, and escalated to parties needed to resolve.
  • Provides administrative and management services for the day-today operations of the Volpe Center’s institutional systems. 
  • Coordination of server administration and support activities across a variety of platforms, including Red Hat Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server 2012 & 2016.
  • Assists the Volpe Facilities Management Task Order Contracting Officer Representative (COR) with the coordination of the software and hardware support agreements relevant to the Data Center’s infrastructure.
  • Provides technical guidance and makes the appropriate technical improvement recommendations to the Task Order COR.
  • Design, compose and distribute contract deliverables such as Daily Status Reports, Task Order Monthly Activity Report (MAR), Technology Implementation Recommendations (TIRs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and After Action Reports related to service failures.
  • Interacts and coordinates with the other technical and managerial leads within the ITOPS contract in the execution of tasks or projects.

Qualifications

Experience:

Must possess a Bachelor's degree. Must have a minimum of 10 years of related experience managing personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, cloud infrastructure, implementation, and operations tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and progress in accordance with schedules
