SAIC has a contingent opportunity for a Sr Sys Admin/Site Lead to support an Army customer in Jordan. This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located at JTC (NJTC), Jordan.  

The position is responsible to configure servers, install, and perform day-to-day system administration for all systems. Implement software on a variety of hardware systems including Dell, HP, and Cisco.  These systems may also be connected with fiber attached and/or Internet Small Computer Systems Interface) iSCSI drive arrays.

 

  • Provide a working knowledge of Windows 2003 Servers, Windows 2008 Servers (or other current version), Active Directory, Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007 (or other current version), Microsoft SQL 2005, Microsoft SQL 2008.

  • Comply with applicable network security requirements, including performing necessary scans using Government-provided software, updating security patches, virus signatures, reporting suspected intrusion, and ensuring only Government-authorized software is installed.

  • Maintain accreditation records for each Government computer within a network and maintain them on file for proof of accreditation.

  • Responsible for the technical direction, leadership, training and may supervise and serve as a mentor for less experienced staff.  May serve as a Site Leader. 

  • Must have the ability to adapt and/or develop new tools as needed to manage the system in an efficient manner. 

  • The position provides exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

 

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technical discipline and 5+ years of operating systems experience.

  • Viewed as a well-developed technical resource capable of handling moderately complex assignment.

  • Experience in daily system administrator issues.

  • Knowledge of hardware systems including Dell, HP, and Cisco, knowledge of IP routing and switching.

  • Knowledge of Windows 2003 Servers, Windows 2008 Servers (or other current version), Active Directory, Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007 (or other current version), Microsoft SQL 2005, Microsoft SQL 2008; Cisco Call Manager VoIP/VoSIP technologies.


CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: MCSA or equivalent

DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS: ITIL Certification

IT LEVEL/ 8570 CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: IT II and IAT II

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must have an active Secret clearance
