SAIC’s National Security Group (NSG) is seeking an Engineer to fill a critical position on the LANDMARK AOS program. The position will be located in the Dallas, Texas area and requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.


LANDMARK AOS is a large SETA contract, supporting the customer’s Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for the acquisition of systems over the complete end-to-end life cycle. 

 

This position provides leadership, oversight and technical analysis within a highly diversified team that supports Ground Intelligence acquisitions providing cutting-edge capabilities to the intelligence community. This position is at a developer facility, and will work with a program office in Northern Virginia as a program office representative. It may require some travel to the Northern Virginia program office for technical meetings and Program Management Reviews, as well as other potential locations for various meetings

 

In this exciting role you will provide technical support to facilitate the development of capabilities cooperatively with development contractors and mission partners to optimize mission success. You will interact daily with senior government and Program staff to support a variety of high priority, high visibility activities such as providing day-to-day collaboration with development contractors, other Government program office personnel and Government Customers on systems engineering, acquisition functions and network services in the domain area of collection, mission management and mission processing.

 

Additionally, you will perform engineering and analysis to ensure programs successfully develop and deliver core mission processing services in all phases of the acquisition life cycle.  


 Key functions include:

  • Interface directly with development Prime Contractors in the role of oversight, monitoring of software development and integration activities and ensuring alignment with Government requirements and objectives
  • Retain cognizance of wide-variety of mission projects including, technical baseline, project schedules, dependencies, risks and cost
  • Advise Senior and Mid-Level managers on architectural decisions to include investment strategies, acquisition portfolio priorities, risk assessment of project execution, and implementation of hosting services and capabilities
  • Conduct Strategic planning for both mission architecture needs (technical trade studies, definition of future architecture planning, software service recommendations etc.) and programmatic (Program Budget Guidance, cost estimation, generation of acquisition schedules)
  • Develop and conduct data-drive performance assessments based on program metrics, and provide estimates of cost, schedule and risk impacts to existing Ground architecture implementations
  • Provide technical and cost assessment of vendor proposals, review technical reports, design artifacts and program plans
  • Provide oversight and technical guidance in support of transition from a System implementation to a Cloud implementation

You will work side-by-side with the other LANDMARK AOS staff comprised of world class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers and Domain Experts to lead the customer in acquiring modern processing applications. Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience

  • TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph 
  • Bachelor’s STEM degree from an accredited institution or related technical discipline
  • Experience in acquisition of IC / DoD systems; knowledge of acquisition roles, processes and/or experience in IC / DoD Project or Program Management
  • Working knowledge of GEOINT operations and associated planning, scheduling, tasking and/or mission management functions and technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of C2S implementation
  • Experience working within or closely with Acquisition Offices; SETA and/or SE&I
  • Familiarity with MS Office tool suite
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills, able to convey information across multiple customer and corporate audiences

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced STEM degree from an accredited institution
  • Extensive knowledge GEOINT operations and associated planning, scheduling, tasking and/or mission management functions and technologies
  • In depth experience working within or closely with Acquisition Offices; SETA and/or SE&I experience
  • Expert knowledge of C2S implementation
  • Domain knowledge in Ground Software, Space Development Programs or Mission Operations programs
