Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) is actively seeking a Capture Manager (Remote) located within the National Capital Region. The selected candidate will primarily work on opportunities to deliver Logistics and Supply Chain Management solutions to the Federal Government.

 

This position is fully remote and will primarily work from home. It is preferred that the applicant is based within the National Capitol Region to attend onsite meetings.  

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Develops and executes the overall capture strategy associated with an approved pursuit effort to increase the win probability. Incumbents in this family orchestrate the bid strategy, develop technical and management approaches, provide oversight of the development of the cost volume, formulate competitive assessments, and tailor team staffing needs to the pursuit. Capture managers drive the opportunity from the capture decision to contract award. This family is responsible for closing the deal on already identified targeted opportunities for new and existing business and typically may focus on large and complex captures. 

 

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: Manages subordinate management and/or experienced specialist employees who exercise significant latitude and independence.  Often heads one or more departments.

 

SCOPE: Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates.  Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. 

 

PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Establishes operating policies and procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections and work units. Interprets company-wide policies and procedures. May involved in development of budgets, schedules and performance standards.

 

FREEDOM TO ACT: Assignments are objective oriented.  Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the organization's objectives and timelines.

 

IMPACT: Decisions have an extended impact on work processes and outcomes.  Erroneous decisions result in critical delays and modifications to projects or operations; cause substantial expenditure of additional time, workforce, and funds; and jeopardize future business activity. 

 

LIAISON: Interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications. Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives. 


Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Must have obtained a Bachelors Degree and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; OR Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; OR PhD or JD and four (4)  years or more experience
  • Previous Business Development / Capture Management experience delivering solutions in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) preferred 
  • Experience selling advanced logistics technology solutions to commercial and/or Federal DoD marketplace is preferred.  Examples of advanced logistics technologies include, but not limited to BlockChain, Artificial intelligence (AI) with focus on predictive forecasting analytics, and other leading technologies
