Job Description


SAIC has an immediate need for a Sr. Electrical Engineer (Embedded Hardware Design) located in Crane, IN to support the US Navy. This position will start out in the Crane, IN location, but will have some ability to work from home. Candidate must be able to work on location in Crane, IN when required. 


The selected candidate will be experienced in embedded firmware and software support with skills in - VHDL, ARM, C, C++, or Python

  • Review and perform publication updates
  • Review technical drawings
  • Assist with establishing, updating, and executing a maintenance plan
  • Perform engineering change proposals and technical reviews
  • Troubleshoot and analyze circuit level issues



  • Must have obtained a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or another related technical field and fourteen (14) years or more experience; OR Masters Degree and twelve (12) years or more experience; OR PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Embedded firmware and software support experience VHDL, ARM, C, C++, or Python
  • Programmable content in electrical hardware devices (remote controls, mobile phones, medical devices, etc.) that provide instructions on how to operate and can create algorithms which enable hardware function
  • High skill level for research and development
