Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse, and highly motivated individuals supporting the Detroit Arsenal Account Portfolio.  This position is contingent upon contract award. 


The perfect candidate will have production, quality, and manufacturing (PQM) experience in major defense acquisition weapon systems.

The Quality Assurance Analyst candidate will support the customer to:

  • Spot check production in-process quality inspections for DoD vehicle assembly program referring to copies of schematics, specifications, assembly prints and piece part drawings
  • Reviews supplier requirements PPAP submissions;
  • Validate vehicle final quality build book
  • Participate in vehicle final inspection and interface with DCMA to resolve issues
  • Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns
  • Summarize and communicate findings for inspection results to program management
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to validate assembly IAW procedures and technical drawings

Work will be performed primarily at the SAIC offices in Sterling Heights, MI, and local partner facilities. Individual will work independently and must have excellent written / oral communication and interpersonal skills. Travel will be required, less than 15% of the time, predominantly within the continental United States.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline and four (4) or more years related experience
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of DoD and industry manufacturing and quality statutes, policy, guidance, standards, and tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge in manufacturing and quality best practices, DoD manufacturing technologies program, and manufacturing level readiness/assessments



  • Experience with lean manufacturing techniques

  • Certified Quality Engineering (ASQ) or equivalent experience

  • Experience in complex assembly environment (vehicle, automotive, etc.)

  • Must be obtain to obtain a Secret security clearance
