Description

SAIC is seeking a Tier 1 Network Operations (NETOPS) Service Desk Tech focused on Tactical Communications in a Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) mission. Duties will include assisting Emergency Management personnel in management of network infrastructure, implementing network policies in line with commercial best practices guidelines, troubleshooting, configuring and repairing network solutions to meet customer needs. Additionally, the Network Technician will assist in identifying network faults and provide solutions to problems, provide network technical support to internal and external network systems, troubleshoot lower level network problems, and validate on a daily basis operation of network services.

The Tier 1 Network Operations (NETOPS) Service Desk Tech is expected to be a fast learner, highly motivated, and adaptable person as the majority of training related to the Service Desk will be on the job training (OJT). Strong interpersonal skills, documentation and reporting abilities are also a must.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Obtained or working towards certifications (CCENT, Security +)
  • 0-1 years acting in an intermediate network tech role
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
