Job Description




Leads/supports software prototyping efforts, to include both COTS and GOTS, including verification and validation; provides software requirements generation and analysis, to include rationalization of baseline, generation of software, and performance effectiveness measures and criteria; leads software-related market research activities; and provides software oversight on modeling efforts for both use cases in UML and systems in SysML. 


Requires expertise and prior leadership responsibility in software prototyping to include both COTS and GOTS including verification and validation; software requirements generation and analysis to include rationalization of baseline, generation of software and performance effectiveness measures and criteria; software related market research activities. Experience in documenting technical assessments and recommendations.   


Successful candidate must be able to apply experience and have the ability to envision and validate capabilities for future agile software development, testing and assessments. Apply past experience to ensure future Software development methodologies are adequate to optimize future agile development work. This would include technical planning, high level and detailed requirements definition, test planning and execution (to include use cases, test procedures and test data),software systems integration, and technical support for software systems and subsystems. Total software system capabilities may include: concept design, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts. Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Recommends/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.


Experience Required: BA/BS, 14 to 17 years’ experience, Certified Agile Practitioner, DevSecOps Certification, and CI/CD experience
