 SAIC is seeking a Project/Service Manager to plan, organize, and motivate project teams to achieve a high-level of performance and quality in delivering agile projects that provide exceptional business value to users. The individual may be responsible for managing several concurrent high-visibility IT projects using agile and traditional methods in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple organizations and IT domains. Primary job duties include the hands-on management of multiple IT projects simultaneously to ensure project success, including requirements elicitation, customer and supplier relationship management and providing project and service management support to enterprise IT infrastructure teams within cloud services, networking, data center services, and system administration environment.


On any given day, you may be called upon to provide project status to stakeholders and program customers, scope customer project/information requests, maintain SLAs and OLAs, track contracted work, coordinate deliverables and resources with team leads and architects, monitor delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure services and strategic projects, instruct and enable teams in Agile methodologies, and coordinate team planning, work intake, and strategic portfolio funding requests/activities.


Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus three or more years of experience, or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of the job.
  • PMP Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in IT Infrastructure services (cloud services, networking, firewalls, data center services, storage, backup, system administration and more of the traditional infrastructure, automation of that infrastructure, and software and hardware aspects of IT Infrastructure.)
  • Applied experience using ITIL/ITSM principles and frameworks (end-to-end Service Management of an IT Infrastructure Service).
  • Experience developing and maintaining IT Service Level Agreements.
  • Experience working in enterprise IT operations/organizations and experience with IT infrastructure services, capabilities, and providers.
  • Active DOE or DOD security clearance (DOE L to start; must be able to obtain DOE Q).

Desired Skills:

  • Certified ScrumMaster
  • Proficiency in processes, tools, and applications commonly used in information systems development and project management such as Rally, Confluence, and IT service management tools.
  • Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • Experience developing and articulating a project plan and executing a large IT projects to successful completion.
  • Experience estimating and monitoring scope, cost, and schedule for information systems projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix and multi-functional environment.
  • Ability to make decisions requiring information systems engineering judgment.
  • Ability to gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders and determine project scope.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to develop and nurture effective relationships and partnerships internal and external to the organization.
  • Ability to align work products to corporate-required PM processes and requirements.
  • Ability to drive ongoing process improvement and service improvement initiatives.
