SAIC has an opportunity for a Documentation & Quality Control Supervisor in Cookeville or Oak Ridge, TN!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform in-depth, regular, updating of process documentation for Incident, Request and Knowledge management
  • Perform oversight of Quality Assurance and Knowledge Management professionals within the FAA Integrated Service Center.
  • Perform full range of managerial duties for employees supervised, including recruitment, salary administration, performance reviews, counseling and employee development. 
  • Properly review, update, identify and document knowledge for capture to be utilized by support groups within the FAA. 
  • Engaging necessary SMEs to ensure proper content within knowledge documents
  • Obtain additional necessary knowledge to be documented as the need arises
  • Identify the critical knowledge gaps

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

  • Associates and five (5) years or more experience, Bachelors and three (3) years or more experience
  • Experience in a similar supervisor or lead role.
  • Ability  to perform full range of managerial duties for employees supervised, including recruitment, salary administration, performance reviews, counseling and employee development.  
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and reasoning skills as well as the ability to communicate complex ideas.
  • Excellent customer service and communication (verbal & written) skills.  
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment within generally defined objectives and policies. 
  • Previous IT, service desk, or remote desk side services experience
  • Understanding of ITSM processes
  • Present findings from staff and make recommendations to other managers & supervisors as needed.
  • Review Knowledge Management & Quality Assurance standards  and update based on best practices.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a Knowledge Management role
  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role
  • Experience with BMC Remedy or similar software
  • Experience with Microsoft office
  • Experience with Outlook

 

Certifications Required

Candidate must already hold the following certifications or be willing to obtain within 1 year of hire.

  • KCS v6 Practices
  • Benchmark Portal Quality Assurance

 

Required Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance prior to starting work.
