SAIC is seeking candidates for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), a Combat Support Agency, who engineers and provides command and control capabilities and enterprise infrastructure, to continuously operate and assure a global net-centric enterprise which directly supports joint warfighters, national level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of operations.


The SAIC team will help provide software development support and expertise for the unclassified and classified portals DISA Store Front (DSF) in NIPRNet and SIPRNet hosted environments. This includes providing support and expertise for: DISA Service Catalog, order entry and management capabilities for DISA services, process workflow automation, SDE automation, System Integrations, transactions occurring between systems, notifications, and reporting capabilities. DSF employs an Agile development methodology and will use JIRA to support their efforts.

The Senior Systems Architect:
  • Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces 

  • Identifies, assesses, and presents options for meeting the functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades

  • Responsible for developing high-level system design diagrams 

  • Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, as they apply to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solution of the application platform, across the application program interface (API), and the external environment/software application 

  • Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant 

  • Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Program Management or related discipline or equivalent work experience required

  • Ten (10) years working with Government, DISA or DoD IT enterprise system implementations

  • Understanding of The Chief Management Office (CMO) Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA) policies and best practices

  • Experience designing complex enterprise business systems

  • Experience producing Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) 2.0 artifacts

  • Experience with DISA and Mil Cloud deployment and infrastructure requirements

  • Experience working with Stakeholder leadership to design and develop emerging system capabilities leveraging cloud capabilities

  • Experience with DISA MPEO or SD2 organizational processes, policies and guidelines preferred

  • Experience providing enterprise system architectural oversight

  • An active Top Secret (TS) clearance
  • DoDAF certification, highly desired
  • CompTIA Security+ or other equivalent IAT-II or IAM-I Certification
