Job Description


SAIC has a new opportunity for a senior-level Technical Operations Targeter in Northern VA to work on complex projects crucial to our national security objectives.  The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in the functions of a Technical Operations Targeter and will work to provide solutions in response to a wide range of complex and technically challenging classified objectives. Qualified candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Key duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The candidate will work in a dynamic environment and will support the planning and execution of technical collection, to include research, analysis, and development of recommendations for collection approaches, procedures, and systems. 
  • The candidate will prepare and present briefings on requirements, capabilities, and project status for a variety of audiences, including senior executives; provide operational guidance; and successfully engage with organizations from across the IC and Department of Defense.  
  • Candidates should have a strong record of achievement in a range of Technical Operations, excellent familiarity with operational procedures and regulations, and ability to work well with stakeholders from various organizations on an integrated, multidisciplinary team. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Must have active/current TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • Requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent(4 years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of degree) with 14 years of experience

  • Must have minimum 10+ years of experience with information technology systems and security

  • Must have 5 or more years of experience in the Intelligence Community

  • Must have 5 or more years of Technical Operations experience and knowledge of technical collection disciplines

  • Must have 5 or more years of experience exploiting digital media and communications devices and networks

  • Must have experience in the planning and implementation of technical operations

  • Must have experience with operational tradecraft, workflow's, and policies and procedures

  • Must have ability analyze, prioritize, and effectively problem solve, synthesize large amounts of data/information and to work several tasks concurrently with minimum supervision

  • Must have briefing skills; ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences

  • Must have excellent writing and technical editing skills

  • Must have experience writing technical intelligence reports

  • Must be able to multi-task and successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
