SAIC is looking for a Project Scheduler to support the Army Ground Vehicle portfolio for our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan.


 

Job Description:  The candidate will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying size, complexity, and level of risk. This position directly supports Project/Task Leads and is responsible for the development and management of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishment and maintenance schedule baselines
  • Development, maintenance, and reporting status of WBS tasks
  • Preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding schedule variances
  • Perform weekly analysis and prepare reports to support the development of program plans that ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured
  • Manage and facilitate weekly IMS reviews
  • Define timelines and dependencies
  • Identify critical path
  • Identify risk and conduct risk analysis

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience; High School diploma and 7 years of related experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as a Project Scheduler
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Project, related experience with scheduling and reporting
  • Proven experience working with all levels of management and technical teams
  • Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
  • Ability to support multiple projects concurrently
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Clearance:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

 

Desired Skills:   

  • Specific Defense program experience
  • Combat or tactical ground vehicles experience
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management and Milestones Professional
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience on large-scale software, hardware, and system development projects
