We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Remote Deputy Program Manager to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC.
This is a remote position.
The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) supports the Program Manager (PM) in all actions and functions for the operation of the program. The DPM fills the roles and functions of the PM when the PM is away from his post and is responsible and accountable for the program during this period. The DPM provides planning and analysis, review and track for the leadership to ensure that plans are implemented across the business and are in line with corporate goals. The DPM implements projects and initiatives focused on improving operational effectiveness. Provides reports as needed to assist in business reviews. Manages junior level individual contributors. Sets and directs action plans. Understands functional concepts that drive results to enhance operational effectiveness in line with company strategy and industry best practices.
The DPM manages the review of cost and service structures, productivity measures and delivery methods to achieve planned targets. Analyzes complex business issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers. Constructs forecasts, recommend plans based on the business data. Develops reports for management on the overall performance of business and develop metrics to measure various characteristics of the business. The DPM is responsible for overseeing product and/or service operations at a global or regional level
Reporting and Analytics
The DPM analyzes large quantities of data and present insights and predictions to support management planning, executing and monitoring of business decisions. Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Manages operational projects including the collection and dissemination of information and communicate results to leadership. Prepares management reports, indicating analytical finding and models. Generates ad-hoc reports or report information for end-users. Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. The DPM Programs and maintains report forms and formats, dashboards, canned reports and other end-user information portals and sources.
The DPM may lead the effort to develop and improve operations through efficient and effective integrated processes, implementing common management processes/services to leverage organization resources. The DPM may solicit feedback from management and their leaders on existing processes or gaps in process. The DPM may act as central hub for the organization executing common standards, templates, processes and expectations. The DPM works closely with management and support organization to drive a uniform approach in the development and communication of processes and procedures. Implements process improvement initiatives. Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities. Collects data to identify root cause of problems. Measures performance against process requirements.
Education / Certification / Security Clearance Requirements:
· US Citizenship
· Interim DoD Secret Clearance with ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
· Bachelor's degree and 9 years experience or equivalent with a minimum 5 years of total management experience
· Project Management Professional preferred
· ITIL Foundations v3/v4
· Demonstrated managerial skills and ability to learn customer support processes and techniques
· Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and multi-task
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent competency in MS Office Suite
