SAIC is looking for a highly motivated and experienced JBOSS Fuse Middleware Engineer to support various programs and strategic initiatives within the company, including internal investment projects (IR&D) and external customer support. The selected candidate will be experienced in all aspects of Middleware development, management, deployment, and who readily adapts to support a variety of challenging technical requirements in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Help define best practices at enterprise level for integration using Fuse / Camel
Support and partner on strategic direction for Fuse implementation
Provide training and teach-back to other teams on Fuse and Camel topics including knowledge transfers, the creation of documentation using existing document space (SharePoint, Confluence), or design reviews.
Will work on Service Broker project specifically, but will also support other Fuse integration needs such as the development of reusable frameworks and templates that can be used the other integration teams
Support the creation of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
Support creation and configuration of OpenShift projects
Support the implementation of other tools within the CI/CD pipeline such as JFrog Artifactory and Sonarqube
Collaborates with other groups within SAIC to support the design, development, testing, and deployment of Fuse services.
AAA (Authentication and Authorization) support
Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides highly innovative and creative solutions.
Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into a final product.
Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Works under consultative direction toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives.
Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contributes to development of new principles and concepts.
May support new business development initiatives, including bid and proposal and bases of estimate
May support strategic initiatives within SAIC, including research and development
May support strategic alliances with outside vendors
Remains abreast of the newest middleware tools and technologies available.
Required Experience, Education, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 5 years of overall related experience.
2+ years’ development and operational experience with the Fuse Middleware platform.
3+ years’ Java EE development experience coupled with knowledge of development frameworks i.e. Spring, Hibernate, MVC.
Previous experience with an enterprise service bus technology i.e. Sun/SeeBeyond eGate/ICAN/JCAPS, Oracle SOA Suite, IBM Websphere, etc. is a plus.
Demonstrated experience with Active MQ technology, or other JMS based messaging.
Understanding of the Red Hat JBOSS Enterprise Middleware Offering.
Proven success with working on middleware integration projects.
Strong knowledge of integration concepts and technology i.e. queuing, publish/subscribe, data modeling/mapping.
Excellent skills with continuous integration toolsets i.e. Maven, Jenkins, Github, Bitbucket, Atlassian, Artifactory, etc.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
Able to perform various coding and programming tasks, such as design or development of Apache Camel routes, Service mix components, OSGI services, and SOAP web services.
Role will include the full life cycle of architecture, design, coding, and testing activities.
Facilitate requirements and fit/gap workshops with other technical staff on technical topics and non-functional requirements.
Investigate and resolve situations where actual test results do not match expected test results.
Experience writing and maintaining application software documentation including scope requirements, logical designs, technical designs, testing plans, etc.
US Citizenship is required
Able to obtain up to a Secret level DoD clearance upon request
Location: 100% telework with up to 25% travel.
Desired Experience and Certifications:
Experience with AWS, AZURE, or GCP.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.
