SAIC is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support and Information Assurance (IA) team on the development of communication payloads for unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in our San Diego, CA location.

 

This position is contingent upon award of contract.

 

This job may be temporarily remote due to COVID-19.

Job Duties May Include:

  • Preparing and submitting Assessment and Authorization packages for project systems following RMF processes using the web-based Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (EMASS) system.  
  • Supporting the RMF process to include developing and maintaining POA&Ms and IA artifacts, SSP maintenance, and Risk Assessment Report (RAR). 
  • Applying the disciplines of Computer Security necessary to perform Information System Security Audits, Information System Security Assessments, Risk Management Plans, and Security architectures.   
  • Performing periodic auditing and continuous monitoring tasks to maintain security compliance.
  • Ensure Department of Defense (DOD) security policies, standards, and procedures are enforced.
  • Performing vulnerability scanning and device configuration assessment using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution using ACAS software to facilitate a compliant and secure system.
  • Conducting low to high file transfers.
  • Attending meetings/teleconferences and provide status/update of assigned tasks
  • Maintaining knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, CNSS Instructions, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) publications, Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) instructions, and any government policies and guidance related to securely protecting platform information technology (PIT) systems.
  • Having experience with the EMASS web-based system.
  • Having experience with STIGs and the ability to justify the technical need for applying each setting.
  • Staying proficient and up to date in all IA training requirements.
  • Staying current with all IA related certification as required by NIWC PAC and DOD 8570.

 

Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of demonstrated Information Assurance (IA) experience
  • Must possess active SECRET security clearance and US Citizenship required
  • Experience preparing and submitting Assessment and Authorization packages; 
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications, CNSS Instructions, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) publications, Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) instructions, and Government policies and guidance related to securely protecting platform information technology (PIT) systems; 
  • Experience supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to include developing and maintaining POA&Ms and IA artifacts, SSP maintenance, and Risk Assessment Report (RAR); 
  • Experience performing Information System Security Audits, Information System Security Assessments, developing Risk Management Plans, and assessing security architectures; 
  • Experience performing periodic auditing and continuous monitoring tasks to maintain security compliance; 
  • Experience ensuring that Department of Defense (DOD) security policies, standards, and procedures are enforced; 
  • Experience performing vulnerability scanning and device configuration assessment using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ability within ACAS software); 
  • Experience conducting low to high file transfers;
  • Experience with the eMASS web-based system;
  • Experience with STIGs and justifying the technical need for applying each setting; 
  • Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) certifications
  • Experience with building/updating an ACAS scanning tool/computer 

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum associate degree and at least five (5) years of experience in skills identified above OR  Formal degree requirement may be evaluated and waived if applicant provides at least seven (7) years of experience
