Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Launch Readiness Mission Director Trainer to support our mission at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The contractor shall develop and deliver planning, integration, and operational support for NRO Day-of-Launch (DoL) and rehearsal operations including scenarios, rehearsal timelines, processes, procedures, products and training syllabus for NRO/IC missions. 

Tasks include:
a. Develop and deliver mission-unique rehearsal scenarios and timelines to support the Mission Director's Rehearsal goals.

b. Develop and deliver mission-unique training syllabus and tools for training and certifications of the Mission Director, Assistant Mission Director, and the OL Launch Support Team. This includes MD Roles and Responsibilities, Launch window management, Communications configuration, LV Contractor and Range Resources and Concept of Operations (ConOps).

c. Develop, update, and standardize DoL processes, procedures, and products used by OSL launch personnel. Coordinates with Eastern and Western Range, Launch Vehicle Contractor, and SMC Program Office personnel on their implementation of changes to the DoL ConOps. Ensures DoL ConOps changes are reflected in OSL Mission Manager Launch Day preparation and exercised in rehearsals.

d. Support the planning and implementation of the DoL Working Group.


Clearance required to start: TS/SCI with Polygraph

Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering field mandatory; Master's Degree in Engineering desired.

10+ years launch and satellite integration and launch service acquisition experience desired

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
