Job Description


Join SAIC’s team, in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command's  Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics Support Services (SOF AT&L), in meeting its mission by providing rapid and focused acquisition, technology, and logistics support to Warfighters, through the delivery of the most effective capabilities to our Special Operations Forces.

The candidate selected for this position shall:
  • Provides expertise in the review, development, and implementation of Strategic level logistics policy and planning guidance (JP 4-0, Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan, NDS, NMS, etc.)

  • Supports numerous SOF logistics education efforts, to include course development and execution through JSOU and Ft Lee, VA

  • Supports Readiness Reviews:  reading, analyzing, and preparing consolidated summaries for J4 Directorate review and response

  • Collect and analyze metrics and requirements from supported organizations

  • Collect, analyze, and report on various supply and inventory metrics indicators in support of OSD and DoD reporting criteria

  • Receive and analyze materiel status reports for development of Readiness assessments and corrective action plans

  • Support USSOCOM Readiness Inspections and DoD level conferences and planning venues


  • Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

  • Must possess a DoD Top Secret clearance, and be TS/SCI eligible

  • 3+ years experience with Defense Readiness Reporting and Systems (SORTS, DRRS-S, etc.)                                                     

  • Highly Desirable: Experience with Joint Publications and other DoD-level policy and guidance documents (NDS, NMS, JSCP, CPG, etc.)

  • Must be able to travel CONUS and OCONUS to perform and/or support various training venues; anticipate 3 to 4 trips per year lasting 3 days to up to a week for OCONUS trips

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written

  • Ability to perform as part of a diverse team
  • Be a self-starter that performs well in small groups with minimal oversight

  • Strong working Knowledge of MS Office Suite software
