SAIC is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join the National Security Customer Group (NSCG) in our Chantilly, VA office. NSCG provides specialized engineering, analysis, and operations support to a variety of US Government (USG) customers. We support the generation after next of national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground.
The Project Scheduler will conduct management consulting activities regarding modernization scheduling and road mapping in an agile environment. This includes creating and maintaining integrated master schedules, briefing management, reporting earned value, and delivering technical documentation.
Participates in the planning, tracking analysis, and reporting on multiple projects of varying size and complexity within an integrated master schedule.
Collaborates with the customer and the technical teams and then establishes and maintains the cost/schedule baselines for business and technical systems modernization development and transition.
Development of WBS and related dictionaries, schedules or Resource Loaded Networks (RLN's) and budgets.
Implementation of Earned Value methodologies and performs related variance analyses
Interacts at a variety of points within the customer organization and program governance processes to assist in implementation of the established transition plan.
Preparation of written and verbal reports to management regarding cost schedule variances.
Significant interface with Project Managers, Senior Technical Personnel, as well as customer stakeholders as part of an Agile scrum team.
Writes and updates material for Technical and Business manuals concerned with work methods and procedures.
Refines work of analysts, developers, and architects, and heads and coordinates activities of writers engaged in preparing technical deliverables.
Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience.
Expert with Microsoft Project development, baselines, and tracking
Strong written and verbal skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experienced in Earned Value analysis and reporting
Experienced with Microsoft Word and technical document development
Experience in one or more Agile methodologies: SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban
