Description

Software Engineer to work in Kansas City, MO:

  • Review, analyze, design, implement, test and maintain assigned software development work and determine appropriate course of action using the following technologies Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring Framework, JavaScript, XML, REST (Jersey) & SOAP Webservices, Salesforce, SQL Server, JBoss, Junit frameworks.
  • Create models and diagrams and flowcharts to determine the design needed to achieve the specific intended function within the application.
  • Design different ways of test the develop software to ensure repeatability and reusability.
  • Implement assigned software development component programs while integrating multiple software systems, modules and technologies.
  • Test software after upgrades are installed to assure that the software continues to function correctly even after the upgrades are completed.
  • Review software design changes developed by other members of the staff and approve the release of software application changes in order to control the update rollouts.
  • Document every aspect of the developed application or application component as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades.
  • Use Maven, GitHub, Gradle, CI/CD, ALM, remediate OWASP Top 10 Security Risks. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twelve (12) months in job or job related experience to include create models and diagrams and flowcharts to determine the design needed to achieve the specific intended function within the application; implement assigned software development component programs while integrating multiple software systems, modules and technologies; test software after upgrades are installed to assure that the software continues to function correctly even after the upgrades are completed; document every aspect of the developed application or application component as a reference for future maintenance and upgrades; use GitHub, Gradle, and CI/CD.  Experience may have been gained before, during or after degree.
