SAIC has an opening for a Project Officer (PO) supporting Soldier requirements in the Maneuver Battle Lab, Ft. Benning, GA.


Description: 

Project Manager directly responsible for the overall design, management, organization, and execution of prototype experiments.  Independently plans, develops and defines experiment methods, procedures, objectives, instrumentation, data collection, and support equipment requirements.  Liaises directly with program managers, engineers, prime contractors and other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations during the planning, execution, and reporting phases of each experiment.  Forecasts experiment assets, schedules land, and air corridor requirements through range control for support.  Manages experiment Integrated Product Teams providing leadership, advice, and counsel to program managers of selected programs.  Responsible for writing and editing executive level reports to senior executive service directors, program executive offices, and program managers for emerging military technologies that encompass all dismounted weapons and equipment employed by U.S. Army Soldiers

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Associates Degree and a minimum 6 years of related experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree)


Required Skills:

  • Possess knowledge/experience in Army movement and maneuver doctrine specifically as it relates to Infantry, Armor, and Cavalry Troop/Company, Platoon, Section and Squad level small unit operations and equipment.
  • Possess planning and coordination experience. 
  • Possess documentation and report writing experience.
  • Possess MicroSoft Office products capability, including the ability to perform tasks and prepare documents using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Possess Adobe suite capability, including the ability to perform document creation, editing, and manipulation tasks.
  • Possess problem identification and resolution skills.  Possess strong interpersonal skills and customer-orientation. 
  • Have the ability to operate independently and act proactively to accomplish the mission. 
  • Possess the physical readiness and willingness to work in field environment for extended periods (greater than 24 hours) in day or night conditions and environmental extremes (temperature, humidity, precipitation, etc.). 
  • Have the ability to perform domestic and international travel for periods of one week or more.
  • Possess or obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
