SAIC is seeking a ARTC Squad Assault Course Operator/Maintainer at ARTC Squad Assault Course Operator/Maintainer in Camp Buehring, Kuwait.
Support the ARCENT Readiness Training Center – Kuwait (ARTC-KU) Training Support Team (TST).
Providing training support for tenant and rotational units focused on Unified Land Operations (ULO) throughout the USARCENT AOR.
Provides Subject-Matter-Expertise (SME) for Company and below Situational Training Exercises (STX), tailored to unit Commander’s priorities.
Training Support to include resource coordination, scenario development, orders development, OC/T support, OPFOR support, and AAR preparation.
Act as the primary point-of-contact for company/platoon for training support that includes squad battle drills, platoon battle tasks, and integration of C-IED and UAS capabilities.
SME responsible for engaging training units and facilitate as required throughout the entire planning and execution cycle of unit training.
Requires comprehensive understanding of training management strategies to support platoon and company training objectives.
Ensures site is prepared for training IAW ASG-Kuwait Range Control prescribed safety standards.
Provide plans and input into design improvements to enhance the complexity and structure of lanes for the Squad Assault Course to the Senior Range Operations Manager and the CIED/TIC.
Supervise the Site Improvement Team and assist in the execution of maintenance and improvements of the Squad Assault Course.
Deploy to Regional Cooperation Exercises to support the TST Exercise Support Team in the execution of Observer Controller duties in Kuwait and within the CENTCOM AOR.
Assist with C-IED training and support Program of Instruction (POI) development, design, and certification, execution, and modification/update processes.
Maintain currency with new and shifting Army and USMC doctrine.
Maintain working relationships with tenant and rotational units.
Perform additional duties as prescribed by the Senior Range Operations Manager.
Required Education and Experience
HS/GED and 14 years of experience OR Bachelors and ten (10) years of experience; Masters and eight (8) years of experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years of experience
Active DoD Secret clearance.
OIF/OEF Combat Arms and/or Operations with a strong tactical background.
Knowledge of current Army operational doctrine. Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
Must be willing to live and operate in austere conditions.
Must be able to pass all CRC requirements IAW current CENTCOM guidance.
Must meet the CENTCOM MOD13 Physical requirements.
Must possess Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Power Point, Excel)
Prior assignment to a maneuver CTC as an Observer/Controller or extensive CTC experience
