Job Description



SAIC is currently looking for Project Integration Manager to provide management and oversight of SE&I activities for the Launch Enterprise (ECL) at SMC. This position is located at Vandenberg AFB, CA. Key aspects of this oversight will include the following:

  • Requirements Validation

  • Test & Integration

  • Launch Vehicle, Payload and Launch Site Integration

  • Day of Launch Activities

  • Launch Mission Assurance activities, in cooperation with FFRDC

  • Launch Integration Scheduling

  • Coordination with launch providers, satellite developers, associate contractors, FFRDC, and launch program office teams

Job Specific Responsibilities:

  •  Analyzing and reviewing designs and test plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems. Specialized in areas such as structural dynamics, guidance, navigation and control, instrumentation and communication, and production methods and may become experts in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, celestial mechanics, propulsion, acoustics, or guidance and control systems.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, including performing launch vehicle mission trade studies, mission analysis, managing console operations, monitoring/ analyzing real-time launch vehicle data the development of mission unique
    requirements and derived requirements identification, monitoring and verifying all launch vehicle and satellite vehicle interface requirements including satellite vehicle transportation and processing requirement.
  • Manage and assist with engineering change proposals, including change definitions, contract modification technical evaluations, and launch operations planning and execution.
  • Work closely with the space vehicle program, launch vehicle contractor, operating location, launch range, and other associated contractors and organizations.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Bachelor degree with five (5) years experience.
  • Ability to recommend/make decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the launch services contract
    requirements and Launch Systems Integration Contractor (LSIC) service contract.
  • A working knowledge of USAF Engineering Launch Support System (ELSS) architecture and components, including the Launch Vehicle Launch Support Centers (LVLSC) at the launch bases.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master Degree in a STEM related field
  • INCOSE Certification
