Description
SAIC is currently looking for System Engineers-Technical Partnership to support launch system SE&I activities for the Launch Enterprise (ECL) at SMC in El Segundo, CA.
Key aspects of this oversight will include the following:
Requirements Validation
Test & Integration
Launch Vehicle, Payload and Launch Site Integration
Day of Launch Activities
Launch Mission Assurance activities, in cooperation with FFRDC
Launch Integration Scheduling
Coordination with launch vehicle providers, satellite developers, associate contractors, FFRDC, and launch site teams
Job Specific Responsibilities:
Designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, documentation preparation for complex systems and operational support of these systems.
Areas of specialization include emerging launch system technologies related to: guidance and navigation systems, control systems, communications systems, digital communication protocol, electrical power distribution, control and transmission devices, signal processing, instrumentation, electromagnetic compatibility and interference, electrical interfaces, avionics electronics, rocket and spacecraft structures, and electrical ground support equipment.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
Clearance level: TS/SCI
Bachelor's Degree in STEM field and either (8) years or more experience in system engineering, technical PM, or other related areas.
Participated with senior managers to establish plans and objectives
Excellent communicator with the ability to effectively interface with external federal organizations, emerging technology companies, and the commercial launch industry.
