Description
SAIC is currently looking for Project Integration Engineers to join our amazing team!
Responsibilities will be to provide management and oversight of SE&I activities for the Launch Enterprise (ECL) at SMC. This position is located at El Segundo, CA. Key aspects of this oversight will include the following:
Requirements Validation
Test & Integration
Launch Vehicle, Payload and Launch Site Integration
Day of Launch Activities
Launch Mission Assurance activities, in cooperation with FFRDC
Launch Integration Scheduling
Coordination with launch providers, satellite developers, associate contractors, FFRDC, and launch program office teams
Job Specific Responsibilities
Analyzing and reviewing designs and test plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems.
Provides systems engineering to include risk assessment, monitoring and reporting on status of projects, console operations, operations and maintenance of launch sites and support facilities.
Performs launch site and support facility integration.
Evaluates launch site and support facilities architecture plans, provides configuration management and manages the baselines for communication, video, data transmission, emergency management, power, HVAC, structural,
water/sewage, other systems upgrades and proposed modifications.
Conducts systems engineering analyses, planning, design reviews, and studies to identify methods for fulfilling user requirements based on existing capabilities.
Conducts engineering analyses, planning, design reviews, and
studies to identify requirement shortfalls and provide capability assessments, concepts of operations, and risk assessments to ensure launch site and support facility readiness to meet mission needs.
Conducts launch site and support facility project management, surveillance, testing and quality control inspections.
Updates drawings, systems configuration, checklists, systems specifications, equipment demarcations, and life expectancy of associated equipment.
Maintains continuity products containing facility and system reports, schedules, work orders, facility layouts, drawings/schematics including redlines, and relevant electronic files for ancillary equipment in support of missions.
