Job Description



SAIC is looking for a Policy Analyst to support a dynamic customer in Fort Belvoir, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

The candidate will research, organize, analyze, and summarize data; conduct literature searches; develop preliminary findings, conclusions, and recommendations; and draft written reports and summaries for Department of Defense policy, strategies and plans.  Develop white papers, point papers, and briefings, as required.  Interact with experienced technical staff, management, and government clients. Assist in the preparation, presentation, and follow-up of briefings.  Plan, attend, and document meetings and conferences.  Perform administrative actions as directed, e.g., process classified material, comply with administrative requirements, etc.  Current focus areas include strategic planning, security cooperation activities within the various Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs), and countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).  Work will be conducted on the government site at FT Belvoir, VA.  Employee may be required to travel domestically and overseas, as directed by the client. Total time spent on travel not expected to exceed 10%.


TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience

BA/BS in a related field.  Experience in the military, DOD/DOS experience or DOD/DOS contractor experience; strong and effective verbal and written communication skills; proficient research and analytic skills; experience in MS Office Suite.
