Description

The Software Integration Engineer will be responsible for including rapid, iterative, and incremental project management techniques and Agile software development. Specific responsibilities of this position include applying current industrial software development and DevOps best practices responsive to DIA TALOS requirements, including:


  • Develop documents that define the requirements baseline in support of DIA TALOS Software development and integration.
  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy all software; including mission algorithms, applications and tools, web and portal systems, and/or knowledge and content management capability, ensuring a feedback loop process between operations, test, and development activities.
  • Enhancing software functionality based on rapidly evolving DIA TALOS mission needs and technology opportunities.
  • Delivering and documenting all software source code (COTS, GOTS, and custom) and providing version description documentation.
  • Documenting the tools and processes used to build and install the software in the production environment.
  • Establishing the most effective Agile framework
  • Defining processes such as code control, daily builds, regression tests, etc.
  • Defining or updating processes and procedures for configuration control.
  • Coordinating with Security and preparing or updating security-related documentation.
  • Setting up and testing the Integrated Development Environment and other development tools.
  • Defining processes for documenting user stories, business priorities, and planned enhancements with the estimated effort for each requirement.  

Qualifications

Qualifications:


·    Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience


·    Preferred experience working in a Government mission Data Exploitation environment (e.g., acquiring data, storing data, processing data, analyzing data, visualizing data, turning data into intelligence products, disseminating data, and knowledge management).


·    Experience supporting a cloud computing environment (e.g., private, hybrid, and/or public).


·    Experience leading major programming/scripting languages like Java, Linux, C++, PHP, Ruby, Python and/or R.


·    Desired experience working with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools such as Informatica, Talend, and/or Pentaho.
