Job Description


  SAIC is seeking an office assistant to join our Team directly supporting The Department of Justice, International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance (ICITAP), The Management and Strategic Support Division (MAS), in Washington, D.C.

  This position joins a team of over 10 individuals working in the MAS division and will take technical direction from the Acting Deputy Director Director, while operationally reporting into an SAIC Deputy Program Manager located at the customer site in DC. 

 This role requires a great deal of flexibility when supporting various areas of the MAS division. As a coherent team, MAS overseas contracting, auditing, administrative and all management related areas. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to exercise discretion, and confidentiality when dealing with personnel information sensitive to the MAS and SAIC.

Duties include but are not limited to: 

Front Desk Support

Meet, greet and support guests at all levels of the agency. This includes international delegations that visit ICITAP

Ensure proper badging of guests and that facility protocols are followed

Handle incoming phone calls, deliveries and inquiries

Assist with maintenance of rosters, contacts, calendars, and logs

Scheduling and managing calendars

Coordinating meetings with high-ranking officials

Back Office Support

The candidate will work with ICITAP’s HQ staff and ICITAP’s funded travelers to gather information (including financial data) and documents to draft a travel authorization request

The office assistant shall draft, route, and track the travel authorization through CTAS

Other duties such as report writing and supporting the office of Management and Strategic Services staff are required

Security Support

Serve as the backup security point of contact (POC) when security POC is on leave, or travel

Ability to understand security processes related to processing e-QIP applications

Communicate with field and other offices about security information, as needed

Follow internal processes related to the security office located within MAS


Associates’ Degree (combination of experience and education will be considered)

Minimum of 5 years of related work experience

U.S. citizen and must be able to obtain a Public Trust Waiver

Must be familiar with Federal Travel Regulation

Proficiency with MS Office products (specifically Excel and Word)

Demonstrated experience working in a fast pace and changing environment

Demonstrated experience and skills in maintaining confidentiality at all times
