SAIC is currently looking for candidates to join our OMDAC SWACA II team upon award. Team SAIC is pursuing the opportunity to provide operation, maintenance, and defense support of Title X communications equipment and information systems under the purview of the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM), 160th Signal Brigade and its subordinate units in the Southwest Asia (SWA) Theater of operations. Positions are located in Kuwait, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Qatar and include a range of qualifications.
The SATCOM & RF Technicians will performs support for day to day operations to include circuit troubleshooting, outage reporting, publications, and record keeping. They shall coordinate with outside agencies in the engineering and troubleshooting of satellite trunks. The Contractor shall conduct systems engineering provisioning for all communications circuits, to include completing operational readiness reports such as request for service, telecommunications service requests, telecommunications service orders, in-effect reports, exception reports, and delayed service reports in accordance with DISAC 310-55-1, DISAC 310- 70-1, DISAC 800-70-1, DISA Global Conex Plan, and any Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain facility records to include historical files, current and future mission requirements, facility diagrams, satellite access authorization/gateway access authorization, mission configuration (access and de-access checklists), relevant correspondence, and historical files on all active circuits/trunks. Potential for travel exist in the form of supporting flyaway teams for remote installation and troubleshooting. Conduct maintenance for the satellite earth terminal and associated microwave equipment, and shall have the necessary skill and experience to operate and maintain a Satellite Communications Facility. Maintenance and repair of communications electronic equipment will generally include localization, isolation, disassembly, interchange, reassembly, alignment, checkout, test, and full restoration. Additionally, will perform PMCS in accordance with the schedule established in the applicable TMs and manufacturers’ manuals for each end item of equipment. Equipment includes BASEBAND multiplexing and de-multiplexing equipment, routing equipment; power generation equipment; power distribution and uninterruptible power supplies, ViaSat Satellite Terminals and Antennas; Personal computers (desktops, notebooks, laptops, and servers); Linkway modems; Linkstar modems, and TACSAT radios. The satellite ground station encompasses all hardware and software associated with the RHN (AN/GSC 133 X 3) satellite ground station; BASEBAND multiplexing and demultiplexing equipment; private branch exchange (PBX); power generation equipment; power distribution and uninterruptible power supplies; test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).
Minimum education is AS or equivalent experience; minimum education is dependent on job level
Minimum years is 3+ years related experience with DISA circulars, AN/GSC-39B/C, AN/GSC-133 X3, satellite ground station hardware and software to include Baseband multiplexing and de-multiplexing equipment, routing equipment, power generation equipment, UPS, and TMDE; Minimum years of experience is dependent on job level

MOS 25S (7E) Strategic (Fixed site) or equivalent
