SAIC is hiring a Network Administrator Intermediate to work in Korea !


SAIC is looking for a Network Administrator/Intermediate to support a team working on the Korean Peninsula providing Mission Command Network operations and maintenance services to organizations and users serviced by the United States Army Command Information Systems Activity Pacific.    




  • May design, analyze, plan, modify, and maintain networks and network components supporting data, voice and/or audio communication activities. Prepares the analysis of short/long term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling.
  • May conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.
  • May evaluate new technology.
  • Duties may include providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; providing information for hardware and software selection; and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conducts testing of network systems.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content.
  • Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
  • Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met.



  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.



  • Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
  • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
  • Demonstrates good judment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.



  • Contributes to completion of specific programs and projects.
  • Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.



  • Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
  • Represents organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.



  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience


  • Must have a current/active Secret security clearance



  • Required 8570 baseline certification - CompTIA Security+ certification required prior to starting
  • ITIL Foundations certification required prior to starting
  • Computing Environment certification required within 60 - 90 days of starting
