SAIC is looking for highly motivated individuals to fill a Principal Electrical Engineer position. The primary responsibility is support to the United States Air Force, ICBM Systems Directorate. This position will be located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence as you shape the future ICBM weapon system. The current ICBM system has been fielded since 1962 and has been upgraded in various stages over the life of the program as required to maintain system capability. There are multiple acquisition efforts underway or planned within ICBMs over the coming years including an alternate launch control system for the Minuteman III weapon system. SAIC provides project management, engineering, and logistics support (Advisory & Assistance services) as part of a multi-command, multi-contractor team in support of major acquisition programs. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the most exciting and challenging development and acquisition efforts in the DoD. Position and pay commensurate with skills and experience.
Qualifications- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Candidates with these desired skills/experiences will be given preferential consideration:
- ICBM/MMIII weapon system experience
- BS or BA with 5+ years experience with major DoD systems or Related Acquisition Support
- Strong background in Microsoft Office Product Suites: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Familiarity with DoD 5000.2 acquisition process including, but not limited to, program phases, entrance/exit criteria, acquisition documentation, and acquisition strategy
- Systems and end item requirements validation and verification
