SAIC is seeking highly qualified personnel to serve as Law Enforcement Advisors (LEAs) with expertise in police basic driving and emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC) instruction.  The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) provides specialized training, advisory and mentoring services to host nations under the Criminal Division’s International Criminal Investigative Training and Assistance Program (ICITAP). [https://www.justice.gov/criminal-icitap] For over a decade, SAIC has fielded hundreds of highly skilled criminal justice professional supporting ICITAP and OPDAT. DOJ ICITAP is assisting host-countries with police oriented basic driving and emergency vehicle operations course (EVOC) instructional programs.


The EVOC Drivers Training Law Enforcement Advisor (EVOC-LEA) serves as an instructor to host country police personnel in meeting US foreign policy goals for assisting post-conflict nations and emerging democracies develop professional police and public safety capacities under sound rule of law.  


The EVOC-LEA is part of a team of criminal justice professionals from various critical disciplines. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


Works with the host-country in advising and delivering police basic driving and EVOC instruction that serves as a basis for sustainable safe emergency vehicle operations in urban and rural environments.


Assist in development of police vehicle operations training curricula, policies and Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs).



Qualifications

U.S. Citizen


Minimum of 15 years of law enforcement experience with concentration in patrol operations

 

Minimum of 5 years of experience training police personnel on vehicle operations and POST-approved (or equivalent) EVOC curriculam

 

Police Instructor Certification from a federal, state, municipal or tribal law enforcement or POST agency

 

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust certification from the U.S. DOJ.

 

IADLEST National or International Instructor Certification (Desired)

Experience training foreign police personnel, particularly instruction delivered through interpreters (Desired)
