SAIC is seeking Principal Software Engineer to provide software development support for the Network Management Reference Implementation Lab (NM RIL).


Qualifications

Required Education, Clearance and Experience:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering
  • An ACTIVE SECRET DoD clearance
  • At least 3 years of continuous programming experience in Java and JavaScript
  • 2-3 years’ experience with React and Redux JS (MUST Have)
  • 2-3 years’ experience with Databases, especially MySQL and H2
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Agile Software Engineering Process and Life Cycle
  • Effective communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in the team setting
Desired Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of continuous programming experience
  • Experience with JSON, JQuery, GWT, XML, XSLT, XQuery
  • Experience in J2EE
  • Experience in User Interface design and implementation
  • Ability to design and build related databases, performing data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design, implementation, and management
  • Experience with build automation, Jenkins, automated tests
  • Experience in Object Oriented software analysis and design, as well as UML, IDL, and UDL
  • Detailed knowledge of how to read, modify, debug and add features to automated software build configurations
  • Experience with GIT, Maven, JIRA
  • Software Defined Radio design, RF Communications, Data/Network Communications, or Network Management
  • Experience with presenting software analysis recommendations to technical committee and/or configuration control board
  • Experience translating operational needs into long-term architecture solutions
  • Experience in software simulation development and integration
  • Experience developing, modifying, and applying computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems affecting system and program performance
  • Ability to participate in all phases of scientific and engineering projects such as research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation
  • Business Rules software design and development
