SAIC is seeking a highly driven professional to join the Innovative GEOINT Application Provider Program (IGAPP) team and work with them to acquire and deliver CONTENT (a.k.a. DATA) supporting Department of Defense users.


The NSG Data SME’s role is to be the primary interface between IGAPP Vendors, Content Providers, and the NSG (primarily NGA), in guiding candidate apps and content to utilize NSG resources, meet NSG mission objectives, and work within the NSG community to prepare for evaluation, test and successful release of data using the GEOINT App / Content Store. For App Vendors, the NSG SME serves as IGAPP contact with The NGA and its partners (NSG) to access GEOINT data that vendors need to build powerful apps.

  • Assist vendors by getting candidate apps ready for IGAPP's evaluation and coordinates with Government SMEs to resolve questions and technical issues interfacing with the NSG environment.
  • Collaborates with IGAPP’s Customer Relationship Manager to provide data for use by new apps in Vendor Opportunity Packages.
  • Supports IGAPP T&E team providing a rigorous review and test of critical geospatial data and functionality in apps.
  • Listens and watches for new content opportunities and serves as the NSG voice to state content needs. Defines Vendor Opportunity Packages for Content (VOP-C) and also prepares descriptions and usage of content for the GEOINT App / Content Store.
  • Evaluates content for utility in the NSG mission, tests content APIs for accessibility and validity of results. Responds to user feedback on content (and related apps as needed) with operational support and relevant vendor and provider responses.
  • Assesses initial risk related to the content offering and related API.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • B.A./B.S. in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related degree and 9 plus years of experience.
