SAIC is seeking CMAC IQT Systems Administrators/Trainers to support installation, operations, maintenance, repairs, and modification of equipment in support of the Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station (CMAFS) Mission Assurance Center, by performing a variety of maintenance and technical support on products, such as equipment, integrated systems, and subsystems, and software at customer and field locations 24/7. 

The NISSC Il Team Mission First IQT (Initial Qualification Trainer) System Administrator will provide system administration support to the N-NC J73 Qualification Training Division to ensure availability of the Qualification Trainer system in CMAFS, CO. The IQT is utilized by the N/NC J73 and ITW/AA operational community as a real world representative platform for mission user qualification/certifications. 

  • Provides proactive and responsive system administration and user support to maintain the Qualification Trainer system's readiness to support training/certification classes. 
  • Maintain effective 8x5 system operator capability.
  • Support J73 Qualification Training Division activities by ensuring system users (operators) have appropriate accounts and profiles and receive timely assistance to perform their mission. 
  • Responsible for basic system functionality and resolve any problems within account privileges
  • Initiate and terminate training sessions supporting N-NC J73 training events and exercises in accordance with procedures in system manuals provided by either the contractor for CCIC2S or N-NC J7 for non-CCIC2S systems. 
  • Coordinate with CMAC to provide contact information for backup system administration tasks and to ensure continuity of support. 
  • Assist in end-of-day security checks 


Technical Skills and Background Experience Requirements:
  • Ability to plan and perform UNIX and Windows system administration as required 

  • Experience with UNIX OS administration and file system management 

  • Experience with Windows OS to include server and client administration

  • Oracle database experience
  • Ability to configure, analyze, and troubleshoot a clustered Sun enterprise

  • Familiarity with system security techniques, LAN architecture and functionality, and HP Operations Manager for system management

  • Ability to administrate a multi-level Active Directory structure

  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco and Juniper hardware

  • Intimate knowledge of SIPR, NIPR and NEN networks

  • Experience performing Infrastructure Administrator responsibilities for 24/7 network infrastructure of systems contained with Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station

  • Thorough understanding of an Enterprise network architecture and internet-working protocols and technology

  • Perform monitoring and management of mainframes, networks and workgroup servers

  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions with established guidance

  • Ability to support database administration of various database platforms such as Oracle or Microsoft

  • Ability to interface with program integration and/or engineering personnel for implementation of new software releases/patches, as well as communication of system changes and anomalies

  • Ability to perform procedure lead restoral actions on the databases and systems

  • Must have an active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.  Must have 5 years applicable experience with Command and Control Systems with a minimum of 3 years of experience supporting ITW/AA Operations

  • Must have excellent technical and communications skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers at all levels

  • Must be able to work in a high visibility environment, focused on 24/7 mission availability, and quickly respond to customer direction/requests

  • Candidate must meet minimum certification requirement for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”. This position requires a minimum certification associated with IAT Level I, which may be met with A+, Network+, Security+ or higher.  Candidate must possess a qualifying 8570 certification within 3 months of hire date.  Initial certification expenses will not be covered by the program.
