The Army Game Studio is looking for you. We’re home to a team of innovative and passionate game developers working on both training applications and public facing applications such as America's Army. We’re home to some of the most talented CG, animation, technology, design, and audio artists around. Come join us in Huntsville, a short distance to the mountains, and close to the many great education, recreation, entertainment and social venues of the South!


We’re currently looking for a 3D Modeler/Artist to join our team. We are seeking artists with a passion for games and world building to become a member our development team. This individual should be proficient in modeling vehicles, props, and environmental assets. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in environment lighting. Applicants must have a strong understanding of 3D modeling software and Unreal Engine 3, and have experience working in a production environment helping content creators get the most out of the tech.



  • Work with other artists and level designers to create models, textures, and lighting for interior and exterior 3D environments
  • Communicate with designers, programmers and other members of the art team
  • Give input on design issues and provide creative solutions
  • Work from concept art or photo reference to create environments, props, and/or vehicles
  • Actively seek review and input from other artists, designers, and Art Lead
  • Provide accurate time estimates and hit dates




  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphics Design, Studio Art, or other related discipline and 5+ years of related experience (4 years equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree). 
  • Ability to create both urban and rural environments with organic modeling 
  • Knowledge of current/next gen modeling techniques (hi-res normal transfer to low-res)
  • Unreal Engine Experience highly desired
  • Concepting ability and lighting experience highly desired
Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a gaming company with at least 1 shipped title
  • Must have a strong portfolio of 3D models and/or environments 
  • Strong knowledge in 3D modeling packages such as Maya/Max
  • Strong knowledge in graphics packages such as Photoshop, and Mudbox/ZBrush
  • Excellent texture painting skills
  • Collaborative work ethic
  • Ability to provide accurate schedule estimates and hit dates
Candidates for  3D Modeler/Artist must provide the following:
  1. Resume
  2. Minimum of 6 screenshots or renderings of latest work (no more than 6 months old)
  3. Demo Reel (Reels and portfolios must include examples of professional work, and an exact breakdown of your specific contribution to the material submitted)
