Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineering and Integration Journeyman in Crane, IN to act as the Configuration Control Board Chairperson for Engineering and Integration supporting a developmental program for a Navy weapon system.  


This position will require developing a strategy for introducing changes and maintaining weapon systems configurations consistent with program goals. This position will provide guidance to the program and customer on applicable configuration control documents as well as feedback and coaching to facilitate the smooth development and implementation of design changes. 



  • Act as CCB Chair, ensuring that proposed changes are consistent with program priorities
  • Provide input on ways to streamline the design change process
  • Actively participate on the Product Control Board
  • Actively participate in Technical and Tollgate Reviews for CCB Discipline
  • Ensure that the product change process is followed for design change
  • Develop and manage parts lists and multiple engine build lists
  • Validate substantiation for all design changes being introduced to the product
  • Accelerate the execution of design changes, authorize the launch of design changes where appropriately delegated
  • Be responsible for the product configuration and documentation, ensuring compliance to Navy process and customer requirements
  • Assist in tracking and driving complex product design change through incorporation
  • Utilize digital tools to improve production processes



  • Must have obtained a Bachelors degree with two (2) years or more experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have the ability to meet the Security Clearance requirements in order to be considered for the position
