Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Crane, IN to provide engineering and integration expertise. This role supports a Navy Advanced Concepts developmental program specializing in hypersonic requirements.

 
JOB DUTIES: 
  • Assess and understand the current Navy weapon system architectures
  • Assess and understand the capability gaps of the current systems
  • Assist the US Navy in testing, evaluating, and prioritizing new technologies and capabilities that could fill these capability gaps Other systems engineering tasks include:
  • Concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA)
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications
  • Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must have obtained a Bachelors degree with five (5) years or more experience; Masters with three (3) years or more experience  
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have the ability to meet the Security Clearance requirements in order to be considered for the position
